"The Good Life Goals (GLG) translate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) into individual actions. In short, they tell you how you can act more sustainable every day. This is an important step to make sustainability a real peoples movement. Goal 3 explains how you can "STAY WELL".

Goal 3 "STAY WELL" asks for the following actions:

1) Learn about, and share, ways to stay healthy
2) Wash your hands and exercise regularly
3) Stay safe on or near roads
4) Value mental health and well-being

5) Demand medical care and vaccinations for all

It is linked to SDG 3 "Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages."

On GLG 3.1: You gain insights about a healthy when you speak to your doctor, a health coach or a nutritionist. We would not reccommend to just search on the internet, because there are so many theories about a healthy life out there, some of which are really unhealthy. Even scientific studies come to very different results. But one thing is clear: eating healthy food including vegetables and fruits (you know the saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away", right?) and regular exercise both help to keep your body healthy. But also look out for less stress and an adequate work-life-balance to also ensure your mental health.

On GLG 3.2: Washing your hands regularly is one element of avoiding the spread of illness and diseases. And when you are sick, you should avoid shaking hands. We already spoke about that regular exercising is good for your health.

On GLG 3.3: When you drive a bike, wear a helmet and high visibility clothing (with reflectors), stay on the bike lines if possible, and make sure that your bike has lights to stay safe. Never drive when you drank or took drugs! Never use the phone without a hands-free kit while driving! Stay within the speed limits! When you drive a car, make sure that you are aware of the other road users like pedestrian, bikers, public transport and other cars in order to ensure safety for everyone.

On GLG 3.4: Never underestimate the importance of mental health! Many people face mental health issues, e.g. suffer from depressions. When you or someone important to you have mental health problems, contact your national mental heath organization that provides you with more information and support.

On GLG 3.5: In order to support the development of medical care and vaccinations for all, you should speak out and advocate for medical treatment for everyone and cast your vote for people who do the same.
